Several members of the group and volunteers spent the day improving and building new woody dams on one of the Kneebrook watercourses in the Stretton on Fosse area. These will help attenuate (hold back) and ‘slow the flow’ to downstream areas. Unfortunately the weather was not good and the underfoot conditions were awful, due to one of the wettest winters on record. But we all enjoyed the day and it demonstrated what can be achieved with a qualified chainsaw operator and a few willing volunteers.
