Mr Zahawi came on a field trip with SAFAG. Following this he shared this supportive statement: “I was delighted to meet with the Shipston Flood Action Group on 27th October to be updated on the work they are doing to protect rural communities from flooding in the south of my constituency.
I was also given the opportunity to visit Campden House where I met the landowner and viewed the new Natural Flood Management (NFM) installations.
NFM can be a much more environmentally friendly and ecologically responsible way of protecting communities and livelihoods from flooding, particularly with regards to its capacity to slow the flow of water, improve water quality, and increase natural habitats and consequently biodiversity.
This scheme is an example to other sustainable flood management schemes in Warwickshire and beyond”
